The NABSEF Board of Directors is a team of lifelong educators elected by the foundation to carry out the mission of the National Alliance of Black School Educators Foundation, Inc. (NABSEF) which is to receive and administer funds for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes; to support programs of the National Alliance of Black School Educators, Inc.; to receive donations and grants from any source; and to invest the proceeds and/or expand such donations and/or the process thereof for the purpose stated above.

Professional Development
To provide educators of African American children with research based training experiences.

To identify educational practices that demonstrate excellence in the school performances.

To award financial aid to eligible students pursuing careers in education.

Our Pillars
The Institute’s professional development is intended to provide educators of African American children with research based training experiences. The Ron Edmonds Academies are components of this system.
The Institute’s research program produces projects that identify educational practices that demonstrate excellence in the school performance of African American studies.
The Institute periodically publishes monographs, special issue papers and research reports.
Request Proposals
NABSEF is accepting proposals from individuals, NABSE affiliates, organizations, and corporations to support the mission and purpose of NABSE; namely, to improve both the educational experiences and accomplishments of African American youth through the development and use of instructional and motivational methods that increase levels of inspiration, attendance and overall achievement (NABSE Website, 2014).
